Hongtao Hao is a fifth-year PhD studnet in Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin Madison, fortunate to work with Joseph Austerweil . He studies machine learning (with applications in healthcare and social socienes), stochastic process, and Bayesian non-parametrics.
He graduated with a Master’s degree in Media Arts and Sciences from the Media School of Indiana University in 2020, advised by Dr. Nicole Martins . From August 2020 to August 2021, he volunteered as a research assistant for Yong-Yeol Ahn . He earned his first Master’s degree in Journalism from Renmin University of China (Beijing), and his undergraduate degree in English from Hebei Normal University (Shijiazhuang).
